Historical Info

Fourth battleship of the Vittorio Veneto Class, it was launched on 15th November 1939. Despite she was launched more than 7 months before her sister Roma, that entered in service on 14th June 1942, Impero was never completed since the navy had diverted resources to light escort ships. After the Italian armistice the hull was seized by the Germans but neglected of any attention, due to fact the ship was very far from completion. The hull was sunk in the arsenal of Trieste during an American air bombing.
