Ship:Decals
Decals allow you to decorate your ships with visual elements like famous mottos, symbols, and historically inspired artwork. They give you new ways to make your ships stand out while keeping the overall visual style of World of Warships intact.
Update 15.5 will mark the first release of Decals.
How Decals work
- Ships have specific mounting points where decals can be placed.
- Decals are mounted via the Exterior Editor, which shows all available mounting slots.
- Decals come in different shapes and sizes, determining which mounting points they fit.
- There are different types of decals including symbols, text and flags.
- All decals are oriented from left to right.
- Once linked, a decal is assigned to that ship - similar to permanent camouflages.
- Decals can be changed or removed at any time.
- Linked decals can be moved between available mounting points on the same ship.
- Decals can only be linked to ships without camouflages, or with camouflages that do not alter the ship's 3D model.
- Decals are not compatible with camouflages based on non-standard materials, such as Golden or Black Friday camouflages.
Decals in Update 15.5
Additionally, for the first iteration of decals coming in this Update, the following rules apply:
- You will be able to obtain Decals of two types - symbols and text.
- All these Decals are historically inspired.
- Decals can currently be mounted only on Tier IX ships.
- We plan to extend the ship tier range in the future. All previously obtained decals will be fully compatible with other ship tiers once that happens.
- You can mount up to six decals per ship—three per side in the following locations:
- Slots at the Bow and at the Stern are reserved for symbols.
- In the Midship slots you will be able to install text.
- In this Update, Decals will be distributed via Decals Premium containers that you can earn by completing special combat missions.
Decals Premium container
In Update 15.5 Decals will be distributed via Decals Premium containers that you can earn by completing special combat missions. These include:
- One of the following decals: Mermaid, Anchor & Clover, Pincers, Seahorse, Sea Lion, or Red Dragon - 25%.
- One of the following decals: Invincible in Battle, Fortune Favours the Brave, Fide et Fortitudine, Veni Vidi Vici, Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum, Fear God and Dread Nought, Patria e Onore, A Nessuno Secondo, Victoria Nobis Vita, Tod und Teufel, Honneur Patrie Valeur Discipline, Furentibus Eminet Austris, Alea Iacta Est, Acta Non Verba, Historia Est Vitae Magistra, or Ventis Secundis - 75%.
