Basic Description
The setting for the Defense of Naval Station Newport scenario, Newport is a small, young harbor in one of the temperate regions of the world. Set up by the Allies, it is highly defensible thanks to its outlying islands that serve to channel enemies into the fire of its forts.
Newport itself is located in the lower right of the map, protected by two fortified islands in the bay and a further three islands ringing the edge. Two long chains beyond that divide the map into three sections, each monitored by a surveillance station. Defending any one of the sectors is relatively easy as the islands give attackers little room to maneuver, but getting too closely involved will make responding to attacks in other sectors difficult.
