Aircraft Carriers and AA Update
Improvements have been made to aircraft-related mechanics. These changes are intended to make AA simpler to use and give every ship a meaningful anti-air toolkit, as well as enhance the team support role of aircraft carriers.
AA Defense Priority and Concentrated AA Fire
- AA Defense Priority can be activated with a short press of O or ~. It replaces the old Priority Sector mechanic, and now provides an AA fire boost with full 360° coverage
- A progress bar will fill, charged from any aircraft engagement, including against Spotting Aircraft
, Catapult Fighter
and Dutch and ASW airstrikes
- Progress will be lost if AA guns are not active for 130 seconds
- Once fully charged, Concentrated AA Fire can be activated with a long press of O or ~ (Hold Down)
- Concentrated AA Fire deals periodic instantaneous damage over time to enemy squadrons while significantly increasing continuous AA and shell explosion damage
- Destroyers have a slightly larger instantaneous damage boost, dealing 5% damage every 5 seconds to enemy aircraft squadrons
- VII Atlanta, VII Atlanta B, and VII Flint have higher continuous AA and shell explosion damage bonus
More information is available in our updated dedicated article on AA Mechanics
Defensive AA Fire Changes
- The Defensive AA Fire consumable is replaced with a new one: Auxiliary and Torpedo Weaponry Coordination
- Auxiliary and Torpedo Weaponry Coordination gives Concentrated AA Fire progress gain, improves secondary gun shell damage, and reduces the reload times for Airstrike and torpedo launchers
- Ships that were equipped with the Defensive AA Fire with a longer cooldown get a version of the new consumable with a longer cooldown as well
- Some ships that have HE Airstrike get this consumable with less bonus to Airstrike reload time
- Defensive AA Fire Modification 1 is removed from the game, and players who own it will receive
17,000 Coal for each copy owned as compensation - Associated Commander skills, signal flags, and upgrades are adjusted accordingly
- Auxiliary Armaments Modification 2 now has a constant +1 bonus to a number of shell explosions
Targeted Tactical Consumables for Aircraft Carriers
Two new squadron-based targeted tactical consumables allow Aircraft Carriers to play a greater support role in each match
- Firefighting Assistance: Extinguishes all active fires on the target and grants temporary immunity to fire.
- Available on attack aircraft and torpedo bombers of tech tree Japanese and German aircraft carriers from Tier VI upward
- Japanese ships have a version of the consumable with a shorter cooldown, but a shorter action time as well
- Repair Assistance: Restores a portion of the target ship's HP over time
- Available on attack aircraft and torpedo bombers of British tech tree aircraft carriers from Tier VI upward
- Eagle has this consumable for torpedo bombers and bombers
These consumables open up a tactical map, where players will be able to select a target within range, be shown allied ships currently on fire, as well as warships that already have an active Targeted Tactical consumable applied to them.
The balance of certain ships, especially carriers, has been tuned to keep them in line with these changes. You can find the details of these changes in a [Development Blog publication.]
Rarity System Update and Legendary Economic Bonuses
With Update 15.7, expendable economic bonuses receive the Legendary grade to be in line with the rarity system
Legendary economic bonuses provide:
The Epic Free XP economic bonus has now been adjusted to fully align with the system: its bonus is reduced from +7,200% to +4,800% to be in-line with other Epic bonuses. With the release of Update 15.7, all Epic Free XP economic bonuses will be automatically converted into Exchange Tokens which can be used to get Legendary economic bonuses of any type at a 1:1 rate
- In this Update, exchanging is the only way to obtain new Legendary expendable economic bonuses
- If you prefer not to act right away, Exchange Tokens will be automatically converted into Legendary Free XP bonuses with the release of Update 15.8
All patches, flags, and decals receive their rarity grades. Standard, national, and historical items fill the Common and Uncommon tiers, while awarded and collaboration pieces claim their place among the Rare and Epic grades. The prestigious Legendary tier is reserved for the most exclusive items in the game.
Additionally, since the Rarity system has been in the game for more than a year now, the UI has been cleaned up by shortening the original temporary tooltip that explained it. The tooltip will be more compact. Detailed information has been moved to the website portal training page

Other changes
- Fixed a bug with the X Harugumo, X Minotaur, and X Yueyang unique upgrades that caused part of the bonuses they provide to Smoke Generator not to work properly in battle, even though it was described correctly in the UI.
- Fixed a bug which sometimes caused torpedoes to do full damage in Brawl sessions that had a modifier reducing torpedo damage for all ships.
- Fixed a bug with the recommended Commander skills for aircraft carriers.
- Added new entities in the Inventory, as well as rarity support, more detailed tooltips, and other UI improvements.
- Fixed a UI bug that caused long-duration consumables to have an incorrect number of remaining charges if you activated the consumable, disconnected, then reconnected while the consumable was still active.
- Fixed a visual bug with time-based consumables that, if you halted a consumable's action with ~1 second of charge left, it would display the wrong value in the UI.
- Bots in Asymmetric Battles are slightly stronger on all tiers.
