Summary
Pacific Offensive is a PVE Scenario where a task force consisting of 7 player ships and 1 NPC ship: 1 San Diego (Codenamed Eagle), must conduct a raid to neutralise and re-capture enemy-occupied Pacific Islands. Players will face off against enemy fleets as well as land installations (armed forts). The operation is available for ships of Tier VI-X, as well as Superships.
Pacific Offensive features randomised, dynamic objectives (A feature now present in most operations in the Scenario mode since 15.1) and was originally introduced in the World War 2-themed "In The Name of Tomorrow" event. Alongside the primary objective (which updates as the operation plays out), secondary objectives are randomly selected from a pool of options.
Task Overview
Tasks
| Task Priority | Details | Requirement | Pins Earned |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary | “Neutralise the enemy Coastal Battery on the 1st / 2nd/ 3rd Island[s].” | Note this is a Dynamic Primary Objective (It updates from the 1st, to the 2nd, and then the 3rd island - A fort on each island must be suppressed by players, who will then be told to wait for San Diego to approach the island before this objective advances. | N/A |
| Primary | "Capture the Key Area" | Also a Dynamic Objective - Once "Eagle" approaches the island, it must be captured by allied ships (Like a capture point) before this objective updates for players to suppress the fort on the next island. | N/A |
| Primary | "Capture the Key Area or eliminate all enemy forces" | At the 3rd, final island, a large wave of enemy ships will spawn, and the primary objective will update to this. To clear the operation, players must either capture the key area under enemy threat, or sink all enemy ships. | N/A |
| Primary | Do not allow San Diego to be destroyed | The operation fails if "Eagle" is sunk by enemy forces at any point during the operation. | N/A |
| Secondary | “At least 1 allied ship must stay within 6km of San Diego until 2 islands are secured” | At least one of the players on the team must stay close to "Eagle" during the first half of the operation, as opposed to heading off to "farm" enemies... | |
| Secondary | “San Diego's HP must remain above the threshold (%):” | Ensure "Eagle" is never damaged beyond a certain extent, typically 25% HP remaining. | |
| Secondary | “Destroy enemy warships:” | Sink a specified number of enemy warships (Number indicated with a counter, e.g. 0/10) | |
| Secondary | “Ensure enemy destroyers keep distance from San Diego (km):” | Sink enemy destroyers before they get within a specified distance of "Eagle", typically 2.0 kilometres | |
| Secondary | “Destroy the island's coastal battery before time runs out:” | Another Dynamic Objective - when active, updates with each island captured. A player must suppress the fort on the listed island before a given time limit (typically 3.00 minutes) | |
| Secondary | “Reach each of the 3 islands before San Diego” | Another Dynamic Objective - when active, updates with each island captured. A player must reach the specified island before "Eagle" does. |
Walkthrough

Upon spawning, players will find themselves among a group of allied players, along with Fletcher captained by Smith and Shchors, which is carrying the task force commander, Captain Akulov. When players begin heading North, they will encounter the first enemy attack wave. This wave will be traveling from North to South along the center of the map. Smith will drop a smoke screen for the players as soon as the first enemy is spotted. By defeating this wave of enemies, players will have captured the strategic area. From this point onward, players must defend against a second force which will attempt to recapture the strategic area. These ships will enter the combat area from the Northwest. After or while defeating these forces, players will encounter an enemy convoy which is escorting five Liberty transport ships. Players must sink the captor ships and escort the Liberty ships to the waypoint. Here, players will encounter two final attack waves. Players must repel the attacking ships while escorting the Liberty ships to safety.
First Wave
North: Tiers VI through VIII will face any 5 of the following: Aoba, Tokachi, Mogami, Myōkō, Mutsu, Fusō, Akizuki, Kitakaze, Kagerō, or Yūgumo. Tier IX and higher will face any 5 of the following: Hizen, Pommern, Harugumo, Kitakaze, Yamagiri, Yūgumo, Azuma, Yoshino.
Northwest: Tiers VI through VIII will face 5 ships consisting of up to 5 Furutaka, Aoba, Mogami, and Myōkō, and up to 4 Fuso. Tiers IX and higher will face 5 ships consisting of up to 5 Azuma and Yoshino, and up to 3 Hizen.
Second Wave
Enemy Escort: Tiers VI through VIII will face 5 random cruisers from the following: Aoba, Mogami, Myōkō, Ibuki. Tiers IX and higher will face 5 random cruisers from the following: Azuma, Yoshino, Clausewitz.
If the enemy escort goes too far south or a player goes too far northeast before the escorts are sunk, 3 battleships (Amagi, Nagato and Izumo for Tiers VI through VIII and Yamato, Satsuma and Hannover for teams with at least on Tier IX or higher player) will enter the combat zone from the north.
Friendly Forces: 5 Liberty Transport Ships
Third Wave
North: Tiers VI through VIII will face 2 Nagatos.
Northeast:Tiers VI through VIII will face 1 Amagi, up to 2 Nagatos, 1 Atago, at least 6 random crusiers from Tokachi, Mogami, Myōkō, Ibuki, and up to 3 random destroyers from Akizuki, Kitakaze, Kagerō, Yūgumo. Tiers IX and higher will face 1 Grosser Kurfürst, up to 2 Yamatos, up to 9 random cruisers from Azuma, Yoshino, Hindenburg, Clausewitz, and up to 3 Yamagiri.
Ships will spawn in as enemy ships are sunk and time goes on in up to 3 waves, with 3 cruisers ("Kabi", "Kadu", and "Kado") spawning in a few seconds ahead of the 3 battleships required to be sunk for the secondary task.
Additional Information
- Rescue the commander of the sinking Shchors: If the task force commander's ship is destroyed, Captain Akulov must be rescued before the ship fully sinks. This is accomplished by entering the visible circle shown around the sinking ship.
- Convoying ships: The enemy ships in the convoy (Ibuki, Mogami, Aoba, Myōkō), including 3 battleship reinforcements will not be able to use torpedoes and AA guns.
- Saipan: If Shchors does not survive long enough to send out a radio call for help, Saipan or Franklin D. Roosevelt will not spawn.
Trivia
- Enemy Names: The names for each of the enemy ships (Kabu, Kado, Mazu, Mato, etc) do not have any actual meaning. Although some Japanese words may share pronunciation with their names, that is entirely coincidental. Instead, the phonetics of Japanese (1 consonant sound + 1 vowel = 1 character) are used to divide the waves so that each wave all share the same first character if written in Japanese, with the exception of the convoying ships that are just named "Convoying Ship" 1 through 5 and the 3 battleships for the secondary task.
- Battleship names: The 3 battleships at the end that are required to be sunk for a secondary task, are the only enemy ships with Japanese names that have given meanings. Yuushi means "Brave Warrior", Senshi means "Soldier" and Kousotsu means "Armored Warrior".
- Aegis is the only Operation that can end in a victory even if all players are sunk
