A powerful light cruiser with 15 dual-purpose 152 mm guns—this project was a hypothetical development of the Worcester class. In the early 1940s, the U.S. developed projects for ships capable of fighting high-altitude aircraft. Various armament options were considered, including those with 152 mm dual-purpose guns housed in triple-gun turrets, but they never saw the light of day.
